Repair a battery, Ni Cad?

It depends on what's wrong with the battery. If it has gone bad because of too many recharging cycles nothing will rejuvenate it. If it is a newer battery that has developed an internal short in one of the cells it is sometimes possible to burn off the short by applying a high current for a second or two which is what the rejuvenaters do.
