He is soo confusing.. help?

i really like this guy hes a year older and a HUGE flirt he has like a million friends who r some of my friends but we arnt great friends after school ppl can stay to play volley ball or somehthing i usually do ( this is on certain days ) and he does to! he doesnt flirt with me bu tim kool with dat cuz i get rlly nervous wen he comes over me my friend and him had like our own handshake and thats thhe closest we ever got :( how do we become better friends we see eachother after school for track but hes a year older and leaving next year :( Help
