Does hairspray stop Hair growth?

So I got my hair cut and the lay cut my bangs way to short so I have been puting them Ina poof thing ontop of my head and j would spray with hairspray and I was just wondering If it will stop the growth cuz I have highschool orientation next Monday and I want them to look ok by then
